Turbo Diesel Fans, Unite!
Whether you own a Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel pickup or are just a fan, you should know about the Turbo Diesel Register (TDR). It’s the only owners’ club, magazine and online publication dedicated solely to Cummins-powered Dodge Rams.
The Turbo Diesel Register was started back in 1993 by Robert Patton, an independent writer not associated with Cummins. At the time, Robert was an automobile enthusiast with a collection of cars and a tow vehicle. What kind of tow vehicle? You guessed it! A Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel.
As a member of several car club/register-type publications, Robert noticed, “the only vehicle I owned that didn’t have its own club was the Turbo Diesel.” With that, the idea for the Turbo Diesel Register was born. Today, 16 years later, TDR is a robust owners’ club with over 15,000 members.
The Turbo Diesel Register publishes a 120- to 140-page quarterly magazine that features independently written articles, technical tips, maintenance basics, product evaluations, owner feature stories, industry news, vehicle history and development and more. Plus, there’s a TDR web site that offers its members a wealth of user-contributed content, information, and news.
“Our goal was, and continues to be, to give Dodge/Cummins owners more satisfaction in the ownership of their pickups,” explains Robert. “We provide an open forum for the exchange of information from the manufacturers to the owners, members to members and owners back to manufacturers.”
If you’re not a TDR club member already, you can view sample articles, check out the member forums, and become a subscriber to the quarterly publication at www.turbodieselregister.com.
